For decades, the Wesley Foundation has been a home away from home for students at Sam Houston State University — a place where faith takes root, friendships are formed, and students learn to put their beliefs into action. Rooted for Generations is a monthly giving campaign designed to build a lasting foundation for the Wesley's future, ensuring that generation after generation of Bearkats has a place to grow in faith, love, and spiritual maturity.
Monthly giving isn't just convenient — it's a commitment to legacy. It means the Wesley can plan ahead, invest in students, and keep the lights on and the table set, week after week, year after year.

We envision students learning that faith, knowledge, and ideas can be put into action — and that discipleship means going out to make a difference on campus, in our community, and in the world.
Every dollar given monthly helps us:
Provide weekly meals and worship for 20–30+ students
Offer mentorship and pastoral care during the most formative years of a student's life
Fund mission trips, retreats, and service projects that turn faith into action
Maintain a physical space where students always feel welcome
Build toward long-term sustainability, so the Wesley remains a fixture at SHSU for decades to come

Seed Giver — $10/month
"Faith like a mustard seed."(Matthew 17:20) You help plant the seeds of ministry — supporting a weekly meal, a Bible study resource, or a small but essential need.
Seed Givers are invited to our annual Donor Lunch.

Rooted Giver — $25/month
"Rooted and grounded in love." (Ephesians 3:17) You help sustain the weekly rhythm of worship, fellowship, and meals that keep students connected and fed — body and soul.
Rooted Givers receive Seed benefits and Wesley merch.

Growing Giver — $50/month
"Like a tree planted by streams of water." (Psalm 1:3) You help fund mentorship, discipleship groups, and the pastoral care that helps students grow through the challenges of college life.
Growing Givers receive Seed benefits, Rooted benefits, and a Wesley t-shirt.

Fruitful Giver — $100/month
"By their fruit you will recognize them." (Matthew 7:16) You help send students on mission trips and service projects, turning faith into action on campus and beyond.
Fruitful Givers receive Seed, Rooted, and Growing benefits and two tickets (+children) to our Fall FUNdraiser.

Legacy Giver — $250+/month
"One generation shall commend your works to another." (Psalm 145:4) You become a cornerstone of the Wesley's future — helping ensure the ministry thrives for the next generation of students, long after today's Bearkats have graduated.
Legacy Givers receive all other benefits and two tickets (+children) to a SHSU football game with the director and students.
